About The Lodge at Ashford Castle

The Lodge at Ashford Castle sets on the 350 acre estate of Ashford Castle and features gorgeous views of Lough Corrib.

Attentive and friendly staff.

If customer service is important to you, you will be happy to know that the majority of guests said they found staff members to be very hospitable, attentive and friendly.

Generally good fare provided.

Though not all guests may have been in agreement, for the most part the majority of visitors had positive things to say about the breakfast provide as well as the meal options in the hotel's restaurant.

Nice property and rooms.

Most people had positive things to say about the ambiance and comfort of the guest rooms. A number of people also said that they enjoyed that the location was very near to Ashford Castle. Several guests also mentioned that the grounds and surrounding area

Negative Reviews

Can be a wee bit noisy at times.

If noise bothers you, you may want to bring the ear plugs, especially as this hotel seems to be a popular wedding venue. There were several negative remarks about the rooms having inadequate soundproofing. People mentioned being able to hear other guests

Lighting could be improved.

There were a few negative remarks about lighting in the rooms and along the walkways being somewhat dim.

A couple of additional complaints.

Though complaints were limited, it was mentioned that the bar area may be a little small and seating in the downstairs area of the hotel could be improved as what was offered was limited.
