Vintage charm and lovely views.

Though not everyone may be in agreement, a lot of people appreciated the historical and vintage charm of this hotel. There were also several positive remarks about the lovely sea views provided by many of the rooms.

Generally friendly staff members.

Most guests who commented on customer service said they found staff members to be smiley and very friendly during their visits.

Negative Reviews

Can be a bit noisy at times.

If random noises bother you, you may want to bring some earplugs. There have been some negative remarks from guests about random hotel noises such as plumbing being bothersome; a few people also said the nearby church bells kept them awake, though many people also enjoyed the sound.

May be in need of some renovations.

Though many people said they felt the worn and vintage look added to the historical charm of the hotel, a number of other guests also commented that the hotel could do with a bit of updating in terms of replacing worn down furnishings and fixing chipped paint.

A few random rants.

There were some negative comments about hot water taking a long time to access. Some people said they smelled sewage and smoke from other rooms; a few people complained of lack of adequate Wi-Fi service and satellite TV. One guest also said they had mould on the ceiling in their room.
