About De Vere Cotswold Water Park

Guests staying at the De Vere Cotswold Water Park can enjoy sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and skiing at the 40 square mil Cotswold Water Park, the United Kingdom’s largest marl lake system.

Spacious rooms with contemporary décor are available in single and double configurations. Some rooms have private balconies and views of the lake. Self-catering apartments are available for guests seeking the comforts of home.

Water-based activities prevail at the De Vere Cotswold Water Park. Indoors there is a large swimming pool, mood shower and water jets. Outdoors, many lake and river based activities are available.

Local produce from south-central England is served at Brasserie at the buffet breakfast and on the dinner menu. The Old Boathouse Pub features traditional British fare and an outdoor deck on the lake.

The resort is 90 miles from London, and easily accessible from the M4. It is two miles from the centre of Cirencester, the nearest town.

Positive Reviews

Mermaids Welcome

The resort offers fabulous facilities and surroundings if you enjoy water based activities. Aside from some guest concerns about crowded a swimming pool during peak visitation periods, the indoor water-based facilities are excellent and appeal to families and couples alike. The Cotswold region is revered for the many lake and river based recreational pursuits that can be enjoyed.

Guest accommodations are spacious and contemporary. There is a decidedly urban tone to the guest rooms and facilities in this largely rural area.

Binocular Friendly

Pack your binoculars so that you can fully enjoy views of the abundant wildlife around the resort.

Life on the Lake

It's worth upgrading to a room with a view of the lovely lake at this Cotswold resort. Some guest rooms have direct access to a picturesque boardwalk, which is the perfect spot for a morning stroll by the lake.

Negative Reviews

Beware the Queue

This popular hotel is often busy, so be prepared for queues at check-in, at breakfast, and even long waits at dinner.

Personal Space Issues

If you don't care to get up close and personal with other guests, you may not be comfortable at this hotel. Facilities are often crowded and noisy, particularly the leisure facilities and breakfast room during school breaks.

Hot Views

The floor to ceiling windows offering views of the lake from some guest rooms are lovely, but as there is no air conditioning these south facing rooms can get very hot.
