Positive Reviews

Not far from Cheltenham

Accommodation in the pretty regency town of Cheltenham can be quite pricey, so this place could make a nice alternative if you need somewhere to stay. Cheltenham is less than a 15-minute drive away, and the famous racecourse is a similar distance away too.

Good food

Guests here say that the food is good quality, and really enjoyable. The foods served up is traditional pub fare, and food is served into the evening meaning that you can enjoy a decent meal after a busy day exploring the local area.

Friendly staff

In the best traditions of country pubs, the staff here are said to be friendly and welcoming. Any queries are answered and dealt with promptly, and staff are happy to cater for any special requests where possible.

Negative Reviews

Breakfast not included

One major gripe with guests at this bed and breakfast is that breakfast is not actually included with the price of the accommodation. Guests would prefer not to pay extra for breakfast, obviously, and some were not aware of the additional cost before they arrived.

Standard rooms not spacious

Generally speaking, guests report that while the standard rooms are said to be comfortable enough they are quite cramped. Some guests for example say there is not much room to put their luggage down. If space matter to you when you go away for a few nights, this is something to bear in mind.

Might need a lick of paint

Though not a major complaint, some guests have noted that the accommodation overall might benefit from a bit of upgrading here and there as the décor does to some people feel a little bit dated.
