Positive Reviews

Value for money.

For it's location and for the breakfast included in the price, one would expect to pay a rather large amount, but not so at Drover's Arms. The rooms and amenities are offered for a great price, allowing guests on a budget holiday to fully enjoy Carmarthen too.

Accommodating staff.

If upon arrival, guests are not satisfied with their room in their original booking, the staff are only too happy to assist with room changes, if the other rooms are not all booked up.

Enjoy the drinks!

The onsite pub definitely caters to those who enjoy the local brews, by supplying many of the local favourites, as well a great blend of international favourites. Guests have found the convenience of an onsite pub to provide the perfect place for a pre-drink, before heading out to dinner.

Negative Reviews

Strange shower.

To make use of the power shower in any of the bathrooms, guests will find that they have to turn the bathroom light switches on first, which for some reason, many guests don't do, and then wonder why their shower wont work. To be fair, a sign somewhere indicating this wouldn't be amiss.

Breakfast not included.

If guests have made their booking under the impression that breakfast is included in the deal, they will find themselves sorely disappointed. There are room deals that include breakfast, so guests wanting the morning meal should look out for those.

Timer for the water.

The water heater for guests to make use of for their showers and baths, is on a timer, and if guests attempt to make use of the hot water out of these times, they will find that they are in for a shock of cold water, and a rather unpleasant bathing experience.
