Positive Reviews

Historical building, lovely setting.

With it’s farm-style setting, the lovely old building of the Grove Ferry Inn welcomes guests to enjoy the cosy rooms, with the lovely view of the river and surrounds.

River trips to while away the day.

The staff at the Grove Ferry Inn are at hand to organise scenic river trips, by ferry, for any guest who would like to partake. Guests are welcomed aboard, and encouraged to bring along their drinks from the pub, to make the trip even more enjoyable.

Value for money in meal choices.

As with most pub food, guests can expect to pay a very reasonable price for their more than adequate meal choices. The food, while hearty and delicious, won't cost an arm and a leg.

Negative Reviews

A few cracks here and there.

With all the history in the building, it is to be expected that a few rooms may have one or two cracks in the infrastructure. The maintenance of the building is kept up to scratch, but with its age, it becomes difficult to maintain the history without hav

Not much place to unpack.

A few of the rooms are not equipped with wardrobes or dressers for guests to unpack their belongings into. Luckily, guests are able to request the rooms that do have these, if they are planning to stay longer than a weekend.

Limited selection of food.

Guests wishing to expand their meal choices, will find the menu lacking in variants. The food is still good, and enjoyable, but for more variety guests are welcomed to try any of the nearby pubs and diners.
