Positive Reviews

Elegance and comfort reminiscent of a bygone era

Unique, beautiful, extraordinary and awesome were just some of the terms reviewers used to describe this hotel with its classical French aesthetic in the heart of Buenos Aires. Many said it was like stepping back to a bygone era of old world charms coupled with modern amenities like a well-equipped fitness and wellness center. Most guests said the rooms were spotlessly clean and elegantly-furnished, some with marble bathrooms. Those in the suites appreciated five-star touches like fresh flowers, Hermes toiletries, bowls of fresh fruit and bulletproof windows.

Excellent service and positive food reviews

Many reviewers were highly impressed by the customer service offered by attentive and multilingual staff who made every effort to make guests feel at home. Guests experiencing the butler service loved the personal touch, while there was special praise for the smartly-dressed personnel including waiters wearing red jackets and white gloves. Diners were largely positive about food and service at La Bourgogne and L'Orangerie restaurants too.

Top location in central, upscale neighborhood

The location was appreciated by most visitors who described the surrounding Recoleta area as safe and close to good shopping, dining and entertainment options. Many guests said it was easy to reach other parts of downtown Buenos Aires for sightseeing and museums.

Negative Reviews

Harshest critics found flaws

The harshest critics claimed customer service was occasionally slow or strayed towards being snobby. A few thought the swimming pool was too small for exercising in.

Luxury doesn't come cheap

Most reviewers felt they got value for money even if rates were high. However, a few critics questioned whether their stays represented value for money compared to other luxury hotels they had experienced.

Some trouble with Wi-Fi service

Occasional negative opinions were expressed about the free Wi-Fi in some guest rooms.
