Positive Reviews

Quiet comfort across from Margaret Island.

The Aquincum Budapest was found to offer great value for money, with comfortable rooms, great Wi-Fi, friendly staff, and a quiet, relaxing location, just across from Margaret Island on the Danube River.

Lovely thermal pools complex.

Guests found the thermal pool complex and the gym and pool facilities to be of a high quality, very relaxing and overall a fantastic addition to their Budapest experience.

Executive floor hospitality worth it.

You many consider upgrading to an executive room just for the benefit of access to the executive lounge, which has an all day food offering.

Negative Reviews

Pay for extras like parking.

Some of those who stayed at The Aquincum Budapest were disappointed at having to pay extra for things like parking, especially since the hotel is not in the city centre, as well as for breakfast, which a few thought should be free.

A bit far away from city centre.

While trams, buses and taxis can close the distance to the city centre very quickly, some guests found the location to be somewhat inconvenient for heading downtown. Others preferred it that way, since it gave some respite from the busy central areas.

Some question five stars.

The hotel is definitely luxurious, but some were not convinced it was up to a 5-star standard, with points like variable staff professionalism, and relatively small executive rooms raising doubts.
