Positive Reviews

It's stunningly beautiful

Neo-classical façade? Check Six-story high glass atrium? Tick Baroque Grand Ballroom? You bet This is without doubt one of the most stunningly beautiful hotels in all of Europe Spending time here is a very real pleasure indeed.

It has a sweet shop

If you have a sweet tooth then be sure to seek out the Szamos Confectionery Cafe, next to the Bock Bistro: the sweets (and cakes) on offer here are drop dead gorgeous Be warned though; you can easily end up spending more time here than is good for you.

Free Wi-Fi is exceptional

Other hotels could learn a lot from the Corinthia Budapest about how to provide excellent Wi-Fi No 'blackspots', dips in reception, or issues with speed here; just perfect Internet, all the time Hallelujah!

Negative Reviews

Free looking stuff isn't free!

Upon arrival you may well find bottles of water and some chocolate bars 'waiting' for you on the dressing table in your room With no price list or sign to suggest they are part of the minibar stock, you are likely to conclude they are complimentary They aren't; and they're not cheap either.

Spa can get busy

The Royal Spa is often the first place guests head to once they've unpacked Unfortunately, this means it can get pretty busy at times The best strategy here is to ask reception when the busiest periods are and do your best to work your own sessions around them.

Breakfast is pricey

The buffet breakfast is, for the most part, sumptuous and satisfying However, it is also very expensive for what it is Very If you want a filling breakfast yet don't want to pay through the nose for the privilege then head for one of the nearby cafés scattered off the Grand Boulevard instead.
