About 't Bagientje

't Bagientje offers an authentic and rich taste of Flanders. This well-renowned traditional restaurant and bar with rooms is located a short walk from Bruges' railway station.

The six quaint bedrooms, a mixture of singles and doubles with one spacious family room, have hardwood floors. Most have en-suite bathrooms, however, two of the rooms share one common bathroom. Each has a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities.

Free parking is plentiful at the 't Bagientje and there is complimentary Wi-Fi throughout.

A continental breakfast is served Tuesdays to Sundays in the restaurant. Guests can return for lunch or dinner to devour typical Flemish dishes, washed down with speciality Belgian beers.

The main sights of the “Venice of the North”, such as the Belfry and Markt square, are a pleasant ten minute stroll away. Guests can also embark on a romantic wander around Minnewater - “the Lake of Love”.

Positive Reviews

Delicious food

Guests are thrilled with the quality of the breakfast – the selection of fresh breads and croissants and the freshly squeezed juice. Those who return for a spot of lunch or dinner are even more impressed. The reasonably priced flemish stews and typical Belgian dishes and beers go down a treat.

Great location

If you're arriving by train, the hotel is ideally situated a couple of minutes from the station. Whilst you're not in the heart of the town centre, you're not far off. What's more, you are in a quiet district and guests tend to enjoy the pleasant short walk to get to the main attractions.

Quaint and cosy

For many guests, a stay in this traditional inn gets them in the right spirit for enjoying medieval Bruges. The place is bursting with character and the quaint attic rooms have a cosy ambiance.

Negative Reviews

Bathroom privacy

If you appreciate intimacy, the thought of a shared bathroom may be off-putting. Guests, who are not fortunate to have a private bathroom are disappointed to have to share with another room. If you do get an en-suite room, don't celebrate prematurely that you will get the privacy you seek either. Guests will warn you that you may not have a door separating the bathroom from the bedroom!

Stairway struggles

The winding staircases may add plenty of charm to the place. However, they will also see how much character you have yourself. Guests find lugging their bags up two flights of stairs tests how much a quaint property is important to them after all!

Strange stench

Guests often detect a strange odour in their rooms. This seems familiar to the whole town of Bruges, however, some believe it comes from the kitchen.
