Positive Reviews

The Location is Great

Many guests liked the fact that this hotel is only a twenty-minute drive from Cardiff. It's also an excellent base for exploring all of South Wales. Guests also said that, despite being a short drive from many attractions, the hotel is in a quiet, peaceful area.

You'll Love the Spacious Rooms

Most guests loved the size of their guest rooms. Each one has comfortable beds and plenty of room to walk around without feeling cramped. Several guests also said that the bathrooms are large enough to be comfortable.

The Staff is Excellent

Many of the guests praised the attentiveness of the staff. From reception to housekeeping, they are almost always friendly and helpful. Some guests said that, even when there were problems with the bill or minor room issues, the staff were quick to fix the situation with minimal stress for the guests.

Negative Reviews

The Wi-Fi Signal is Intermittent

Many guests had trouble getting online while staying at the hotel. Despite the facility having free Wi-Fi service, the connection is often intermittent and slow. So, you shouldn't plan to be able to work online when you stay there.

Breakfasts Are Inconsistent

Several guests said that hot breakfasts are served sometimes, but other days there is only a buffet-style breakfast. Many of them said that the food quality and selection also varies from day to day. So, eating breakfast at the hotel could be a bit of a gamble.

Every Sound Can be Easily Heard

One of the biggest complaints guests have about this hotel is that any noise is amplified. Guests reported hearing the heating coming on at night, plumbing noises, squeaky floorboards, other guests snoring, and even music being played in other rooms. So, you may need to wear earplugs to bed.
