Idyllic countryside setting with stunning views.

The hotel is nestled in the picturesque Welsh countryside, away from the hustle and bustle, much to the delight of those who stayed here. Guests thoroughly enjoyed the views of the gardens as well as being able to explore the 6 acres of private grounds during finer weather. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing countryside getaway then you'll certainly be in your element.

Full of history and old-world charm.

The manor house as well as the grounds left a lasting impression on many guests who appreciated the numerous period features including the large bay windows and sweeping staircase in the lobby. The rooms themselves were said to be full of character with open fire places and antique pieces of furniture.

Quality on-site dining.

Guests who dined at the on-site restaurant said that they were very impressed with the quality of the dishes which were said to be full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The menus were said to be extensive, predominantly featuring Indian dishes but alsoplenty of popular British options.

Negative Reviews

Maintenance issues.

Several maintenance issues were reported by the guests who said that they were disappointed to find faulty lights, cracked WC's as well as broken bathroom fixtures. Quite a few mentioned that the standard rooms were in need of modernisation.

Some rooms noisier than others.

The hotel is a popular venue for wedding receptions and guests whose rooms were located close to the function suite said that they were disturbed by loud music and noise at times when parties were being held at the hotel.

Disappointing breakfasts.

Some guests found it inconvenient having to pre-order the cooked breakfasts by 9am and also described the continental buffet as rather uninspiring with only a limited amount of items on offer.
