About The Carlton

The Carlton is located right in the heart of Blackpool, just a block away from the famous Tower. Along with its convenient location, attentive staff and tasty breakfasts are this traditional seaside B&B's biggest draws.

The motel-style bedrooms include smart en-suite bathrooms replete with complementary toiletries. Also included are tea/coffee making facilities and LCD TVs with DVD players.

Guest can read, relax and watch TV in the communal lounge area and make use of the freely accessible Wi-Fi available throughout. The hotel also has a 'sundry shop' where guests can purchase necessities like toothbrushes and newspapers.

A selection of light, vegetarian and full English breakfast options are served each day in the cosy dining room. Evening meals are available upon request. There are plenty of cafés, restaurants, fast food outlets, pubs and bars located close by.

The beach, Blackpool Tower and Winter Gardens are a five-minute walk from The Carlton.

Positive Reviews

Location is central to everything.

Nearly all of the resort's key sights, amusements, entertainment venues and shopping opportunities are within easy walking distance of The Carlton. Geographically speaking, you really couldn't pick a better spot to base yourself in Blackpool.

Staff make a lot of effort.

Even with a small baby to look after, the couple who run The Carlton still bend over backwards to ensure everyone staying with them gets everything required to have a great holiday. Top marks for effort here.

Brekkies are scrummy and swift.

Not only are The Carlton's breakfast options tasty and filling (even the veggie offerings), they're also served in double-quick time. This is of course most welcome if you have a young family to feed or you're someone who tends to wake with a monster appe

Negative Reviews

In-room Wi-Fi is a bit hit-and-miss.

The hotel's wireless Internet signal seems to come and go with the wind in the accommodation areas upstairs. On the plus side, it is consistently good in the downstairs lounge.

En-suite bathrooms are a little bijou...

...And by 'bijou' we mean 'cramped'. Even if you're of average height or build, you may well find yourself struggling to feel at home in these decidedly compact surroundings.

Beds aren't the comfiest.

Many guests have noted that the beds in The Carlton are pretty low, pretty soft and – as a consequence – pretty uncomfortable. Room for improvement here.
