Positive Reviews

Great location for families.

The Rutland Hotel was highly rated for location as it enjoys close proximity to Blackpool’s main attractions as well as the beachfront. It does not welcome stag or hen parties and many guests praised this decision, stating how much quieter it was than other locations in the resort and an ideal place to bring children.

Welcoming landlord and landlady.

The couple who run the hotel pride themselves on their high standards of customer service and this shone out in the reviews. The majority of guests said they would return again as they were made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble for their hosts.

Spotlessly clean hotel.

There were many positive comments about how fresh and clean everything was in both the public areas and the guest bedrooms. You can expect very high standards of cleanliness should you choose the Rutland Hotel for your stay in Blackpool.

Negative Reviews

Lifts do not go up to the top floor.

Rooms on the upper floor are not accessible by lift, so if you have small children or there is somebody in your party with limited mobility you would be advised to book a room on the lower floors.

Parking is limited.

Although the hotel does offer free parking for guests there are unfortunately not sufficient spaces. Some guests felt it was inconvenient having to park in side streets but the majority did not feel that this spoiled their stay and they would be happy to return.

Shower’s a little on the small side.

The rooms were reported in general to be spacious and comfortable, however a few guests noted the shower cubicles in some rooms were uncomfortably small and did not have sufficient room to move around.
