Positive Reviews

Exceptionally friendly and helpful hosts

The two hosts here, Meg and Ken, were often praised by guests for being warm and friendly. They were also said to be only too willing to help by providing their guests with practical local information and interesting tales.

Decent location

Guests were generally satisfied with the location of the hotel, saying it was an easy walk to the famous promenade and its attractions. It was also mentioned that there were a number of clubs and other nightlife options within reasonable travelling distance of the hotel.

Excellent value for money

Guests were very happy with the value for money they received here. While the rooms were said to be somewhat basic, very low room-rates and great service offered led guests to conclude that they had received excellent value for money.

Negative Reviews

In need of modernisation

This was perhaps guests’ most frequent complaint. They reported that it had definitely been some time since the last revamp, and that the whole property could do with new fixtures, fittings and a general spruce-up.

Can get a bit noisy

Blackpool is popular with hen and stag parties. Like other local hotels, this one seems to attract a number of guests on this kind of trip. This seems to have caused some noise issues, with guests complaining about being woken up by other guests returning late at night in high spirits.

Bathrooms are shared

While guests typically acknowledge this was a budget accommodation option, and that they could hardly expect the Ritz, many did not appreciate having to share the bathroom facilities.
