Positive Reviews

Free onsite parking

Motorists were very pleased to find that the lodge had free onsite parking available, since it meant they didn’t have to struggle to find a suitable unrestricted parking bay nearby.

Rooms were clean

Guests tended to agree that their room was clean on arrival, and that the cleanliness standards applied by the owners here were more than adequate.

Decent value for money

Guests were happy with the value for money they received here, saying that although the facilities were relatively basic, the low room rates more than compensated for this.

Negative Reviews

The property is unattended

This was perhaps guests’ biggest gripe about the lodge. They reported that they very rarely saw any staff in the building, even during check-in. They reported that they were emailed access codes, which they found a little impersonal. Also, the lack of onsite staff meant issues could not be addressed promptly.

The walls are “paper thin”

Guests complained that the walls here really did noting to impede the movement of sound. Guests said that they could easily here conversations and sounds in general from both the adjacent rooms and the hallways. It often made for a restless night.

Area is a bit dodgy

Guests were not entirely comfortable with the immediate neighbourhood, saying it seemed a bit dodgy to them, and not the sort of place where they would want to walk around much.
