About Medplaya Hotel Regente

Recently refurbished, Medplaya Hotel Regente is a few minutes stroll from Benidorm’s Levante Beach and has facilities which draw visitors back year after year.

En-suite rooms are double, twin or family. Some have a terrace-balcony to enjoy breath taking views of the resort. All contain air conditioning, heating, and telephone. Safe deposit boxes are available.

There are two lovely pools and there is a separate area for children to play. Free Wi-Fi at reception, car rental, newspapers, taxi and foreign exchange services are also available at Medplaya Hotel Regente.

The air conditioned, buffet style restaurant also provides a weekly Gala Dinner. Accommodating up to 400 people, there is a welcoming terrace with pool views. The main bar can accommodate up to 130 people.

The legendary Benidorm Palace is nearby but, of course, there is a programme of daytime and evening entertainment in the hotel and Benidorm, itself, just bursts with lots of attractions!

Positive Reviews

It’s not all Paella and chips

It must be difficult appealing to - and catering for - a cosmopolitan crowd but, generally, the hotel pulls it off with a range of dishes most of which are served appealingly hot. Alternatively, given the hotel’s location, all tastes are catered for, including roast dinners and fish ‘n chips, within easy walking distance.

Clean rooms make an average holiday – great!

Housekeeping is obviously a priority with rooms cleaned on a daily basis by staff. Some speak only Spanish but they are pleasant, friendly and thorough.

A real attraction is Benidorm itself!

You’d be mad not to find something to enjoy here and the vibrant nightlife, as well as the beach, is an easy walk away. There is, though, good entertainment always going on in the hotel if you don’t want to venture out.

Negative Reviews

Take the plunge … open the pool in winter

Benidorm is a year round resort enjoying some great winter sunshine. But, come October, the pool closes. They should play it by ear and in good weather, open it, offer a bar service – and create more income.

Where are neighbours going today

Yesterday, they were planning a trip to Denia and the walls are so thin, you can hear every detail of their conversations and plans. This also extends to their choice of television programme and even their visits to the loo. Don’t need that!

Poor facilities for disabled guests

Disabled get a raw deal here. Access is difficult and rooms aren't adapted to meet their needs.

On the brink, with food and drink

Some of the food served is less than inspiring and the hoards of hungry guests almost fighting for it, reminds you of a scene from a ‘Carry On’ film. Also, in the bar, we all crave for cold drinks but the bar area itself can be strangely cold, too.
