Clean rooms.

The hostel rooms at Paddy’s Palace are kept in very tidy condition. Fresh bedlinens and all of the basic essentials are provided for your stay. The shared bathrooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel staff holds cleanliness as a top priority.

Friendly staff.

Previous guests were overjoyed with the hostel staff. The congenial service staff is very nice and happy to share information about the city and what to do during your stay. They welcome guests with warm hospitality. Previous visitors noted that the Paddy’s Palace staff will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable, treating you like a member of the family throughout your visit.

Good location.

The hostel is situated beside a main road, within close distance to a bus station for simple transport around the city. Guests are within a ten minute walk from Belfast City Hall. The area is surrounded with several restaurants and traditional Irish pubs.

Negative Reviews

Some tired conditions.

The hostel features original windows from when the property was first built, some guests had trouble closing and opening the windows properly. Other grievances included difficulty regulating the water temperature and inoperative toilets. Some guests felt that the entire facility, specifically the kitchen area, could use a complete refurbishment.

Rooms may feel cramped.

Some guests felt that the shared dormitory-style rooms were small in size and did not comfortably fit six to eight people.

Intermittent Wi-Fi.

The free wireless internet connection is reportedly intermittent on the higher level floors. Some guests had problems keeping a strong and steady connection throughout their stay.
