Positive Reviews

Comfortable beds

It was agreed by guests that the beds were very comfortable and conducive to a good night’s sleep.

A conveniently located and cost-effective B&B

The location was felt to be exceptionally convenient for access to many of Belfast’s attractions and services. Within easy walking distance of around ten minutes, there were plenty of takeaways and cheap restaurants. So, in that respect, the B&B was acknowledged to be a great solution, particularly for those guests on a strict budget.

Rise and shine for a really great breakfast

Breakfast was a guest highlight. It was plentiful and of good quality. The friendly nature of the member of staff on breakfast duty was another plus feature. It was stated that the overall cost of the stay was very economical when compared with other establishment charges in the neighbourhood.

Negative Reviews

Rock bottom standards of decor and cleanliness

Guests vehemently expressed feelings of disappointment and disgust at the state of the accommodation. Their woeful list of complaints included dirty room crockery. Furniture, they agreed, wasn’t the fashionable shabby chic; it was just plain shabby. The paint was peeling from the wall and many were surprised that the B&B was allowed to trade.

Getting sleep is difficult

Squeaking floorboards and paper-thin walls led many guests to state that they had been unable to get any sleep.

Appallingly dirty shower areas

The communal shower was obviously not cleaned on any regular, or even irregular, basis. Guests were stunned to find hair-raising amounts of hair left by previous residents. The fact that toiletries were not supplied was not even referred to in the litany of visitors’ concerns. There was one shower and toilet on each floor. The level of uncollected rubbish and general decay led guests to describe these areas as being creepy in the extreme.
