Positive Reviews

Outstanding location in Amiens

Located in the heart of Amiens, this hotel is adjacent to the train station. Given this, it seems to be especially popular with those who are keen on exploring the region's First World War battlefields or the annual Christmas market. In addition to this, it is surrounded by a whole host of shops, bars and restaurants, something that makes for a lively atmosphere.

Clean and tidy, helpful staff

This older building is not without its quirks, but despite the age of the property, many commented on the immaculate condition of the rooms. All of the staff - and especially the proprietor - are incredibly welcoming here and guests report being given immediate assistance with local directions and attractions. This was a point that really raised the overall profile of this small property.

Belt-busting breakfast

The breakfasts here are outstanding, with guests giving high praise to the property's lavish buffet. In addition to the regular meats, cheeses, pastries and coffees, many were delighted to try local specialties as well crêpes with their breakfasts.

Negative Reviews

Mind the stairs

Depending on how much luggage you have, you may love or hate the stairs here. Some loved the Old World charm of the creaky floorboards, but on practical terms, many weren't happy to lug heavy bags up a rather steep gradient. With no lift, guests had no choice but to take care on these steps.

Thin walls

Noise - from the street, from adjacent rooms - was a problem here. Some reported that this did have an impact on their sleep quality.

Old and tired

For some, both the décor and lack of interior lighting combined to give the building an old rather than old-fashioned feel. Some felt that the hotel really could do with a spruce up.
